Our hotels and resorts have always operated to exacting standards of cleanliness and hygiene. With the risks associated with COVID-19, and in keeping with the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Ministry of Tourism, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Government of India, state governments, and industry experts in safety and hygiene, we have implemented several additional measures across all our hotels and resorts. All our safety measures at every resort and hotel are WASH certified by the Quality Council of India.

To ensure that all our public spaces are completely safe, we have enhanced our existing strict safety and hygiene protocols to include cleaning surfaces with hospital-grade disinfectants and sanitising all public areas many times a day.

We pay particular attention to touchpoints that have frequent human contact like door handles, elevator buttons, countertops, tabletops, railings, etc. These high-contact surfaces are constantly cleaned using powerful sanitisers and disinfectants. We follow these same stringent protocols in our rooms, every morning during the housekeeping service and in the evening during the turndown service, as applicable.

All entrances to our hotels and resorts, including the staff and vendor entrances, are disinfected at regular intervals. Even the interiors of the vehicles hired for guest use are thoroughly disinfected before each trip and any luggage accompanying the guests are properly disinfected before it is brought into the room. Everything is being done to ensure our guests can enjoy the beautiful community spaces at our hotels and resorts without any worry.

We use technology to ensure seamless, yet personalized check-ins, check-outs and dining experiences. We also strongly encourage pre check-in and digital payments.

The ever-changing nature of the pandemic has made it imperative that our safety and hygiene protocols are constantly updated, and that our staff are always kept informed on the latest measures. Training becomes essential and so we regularly conduct workshops and share the latest information on safety, hygiene, and physical distancing norms to ensure our hotels and resorts meet the highest standards, and our guests feel completely safe.

To keep our guests safe, we have implemented a tiered system with multiple checkpoints to greatly minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmissions.

To begin with, guests are requested to submit a self declaration of health prior to arrival. Guests exhibiting COVID-19 like symptoms are dissuaded from arriving at the hotel or resort and are strongly advised to postpone their trip to a later date. All guests arriving at the hotel are also screened for Covid-19 symptoms.

All associates who arrive at the hotel or resort also have to fill in a self-declaration form with a checklist that covers the latest COVID-19 symptoms.

To eliminate the possibility of transmission from person to person, we have signages in all our public areas reminding guests to maintain covid appropriate behaviour, which is, use a mask at all times in the hotel public areas, always maintain social distancing, and practice hand hygiene. Our seating and guest movements have also been reorganised to ensure that there is proper physical distancing in vehicles, lobbies, elevators, banquets, restaurants, service areas, common areas, as well as, during guest related activities.

We have also installed shields/screens at all our front desks to safeguard our guests and associates, and have increased the number of hand sanitizing stations at every hotel and resort at active locations like the entrances, front desks, elevator banks, fitness centres, and meeting spaces.

As an additional measure, we take and record temperature readings (non-Invasive) of non-resident guests at the entrance of the hotel and resort. Non-Invasive temperature readings of resident guests and team members are also taken once a day.

Visitors to the hotel and walk-in clients are restricted and allowed only against prior reservation.

Our safety and hygiene protocols for handling produce and food have also been upgraded to meet this new challenge. Our strict food safety standards must be followed by all our food and beverage operators, and their compliance is constantly validated by independent auditors. We update these standards based on the latest COVID-19 information and ensure that our sanitisation guidelines and training videos include these latest practices. These training practices, including those on safe food preparation and service, are mandatory for all our food handlers and their supervisors. Protocols are in place for staff in the kitchens, restaurants, in-room dining (As the case may be), business centres and banquet halls to sanitise their hands every time they serve food or touch food-related items. All supplies and materials are sanitised before being admitted onto the hotel/resort premises. We are constantly upgrading our operational practices to work in the New Normal, including designing new ways on how t o execute contactless buffets.

Guest rooms are meticulously disinfected, and all surfaces, fittings, fixtures, furniture, equipment, stationery, cutlery, crockery, linen, and laundry cleaned frequently at regular intervals and after every single use. All rooms, upon check out, are disinfected before the next check-in.

We are equipped with all the necessary safety measures and have also ensured that health checks and support are provided for the physical and mental wellbeing of our guests and staff.

Detailed Standard Operating Procedures are in place in case of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis where a guest or a colleague needs to be quarantined.

We have clear protocols and processes in case of any contingency. To ensure all standards and protocols are adhered to, every hotel and resort has a dedicated COVID-19 Protocol Officer.

During COVID-19 times, we ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the community are paramount, and all our actions related to the guest activities are conducted keeping this safety in mind.
