Immerse yourself in the different, revealing ways to explore the enchanting essence of the island, getting closer to nature with every step.
The earliest recorded inhabitants of the Andaman archipelago, the Great Andamanese Tribe referred to the island as 'Thi-Lar-Siro'. In their native tongue, it was the ‘land emerging from the sea’, or the land facing the open sea. Recorded in oral history of the Great Andamanese Tribe, they would go hunting for turtles in the waters surrounding this island. And so Thi-lar-siro is also known as the ‘island of turtles’. Tilar Siro Andamans enthralls you with complete, undiluted experience of the Andaman Islands.
Our latest quintessential experience Tilar Siro Andamans immerses you in an unspoiled island paradise while capturing the signature CGH Earth spirit. Our unyielding core values of caring for the environment, being one with the local ethos and community are mirrored in the islands’ philosophy of life. We believe that true richness lies in the everyday, offering uplifting experiential holidays rooted in simplicity and responsible travel.
Eco-friendly design defines the dwellings, built using sustainable materials to minimize environmental impact. Our buildings are designed around existing trees and plants, preserving natural shade and biodiversity.
We employ marine biologists to safeguard coral reefs and educate guests on responsible marine tourism, preventing damage to fragile ecosystems.
Our initiatives keep the island clean, reduce pollution, and protect sensitive areas like beaches and forests.
Water recycling systems minimize our water footprint.
We raise awareness about the ecological importance and conservation of mangrove ecosystems.
We promote nature walks, bird watching, guided snorkelling, scuba diving and biodiversity briefings.
We educate tourists on responsible behaviour and enforce guidelines for activities like diving, snorkelling, and intertidal walks.
We organise weekly beach clean-ups at Vijaynagar Beach. Our guests are encouraged to join our team in removing the litter that washes up from the sea. The waste is then collected and sent to the local governing body to treat and process.
A spirit of community and connection beats at the heart of the experiences. We appreciate the social fabric that binds communities together and share opportunities to strengthen these ties.
We provide job opportunities to empower local communities.
We source fresh produce from local farmers and vendors.
Our training programs cover first aid, fire safety, and cyclone awareness.
We are inspired by local architectural features in our contemporary, sustainable designs. Art installations across the resort have been created using scrap metal, bamboo and ceramics.
Each piece is an extension of the surrounding flora and beautiful marine life. The landscape is designed such that a vast majority of indigenous plants like the pandanus are incorporated in it.
We host local and regional festivities where both guests and the CGH Earth team participate.
We embrace the diverse cultures that define us, drawing inspiration from their ethos to imbibe their spirit into our experiences. They are an extension of the unique character and soul of the region.
We showcase traditional agriculture methods through village visits.
In our efforts to promote sustainable dining practices we focus on locally sourced vegetables and the catch of the day in our kitchen.

Wonderful location in Havelock
We stayed in Havelock for one week and is a truly relaxing and unspoiled island. We had a lovely large room with a balcony and a sea-view. The hotel has a swimming pool and some nice grounds leading to the beach. Staff at the hotel were ever so friendly and always trying to please. The hotel provides several activities including intertidal walks and bird walks. The food was very good and there was an extensive menu, the seafood was delicious. Alcohol was not available, but the hotel is applying for a license. If you are looking for a drink there is a nice bar nearby (Narra) and there is a liquor store (you will find it on Google maps) some 10 minutes away by tuk-tuk. The supermarket does not sell alcohol. There is a very nice beach and a lovely walk if you turn right (we walked for about an hour). There are lots of friendly dogs on the beach and we bought some treats from the supermarket and made many canine friends on our walks. We traveled to Radhanagar Beach on the other side of the island by tuk-tuk and it is a truly beautiful beach but there is very little else on that side of the island and if you are coming to Havelock, I would recommend Tilar Siro for its location.
The best stay at Andaman
Our best hotel stay during our Andaman trip was at Tilar Silo. The staff was very hospitable and amazing. The stay was also very comfortable. The food was amazing, also the menu changes everyday, as it is prepared by fresh produce. Just have to inform them in advance as they have to prep for it. They also had complimentary service like tidal walk and bird watching.
